RCH News on...

Race Car Help has been assembling quality race cars since 2001. Steve Strasburg (owner) has been in the business officially since 1994 where he started out working at Lefthander Chassis as the technical support representative. There many technical manuals were developed by Steve for the various chassis that they sold. Under his guidance, many features were won and many track championships were put into the record books as he assisted the Lefthander Chassis customers. Steve then went to work for a couple of race teams with much success, winning many races along the way.
As the years went by Steve was honing his fabrication and set-up skills. So RCH was born...building quality into short track race cars. The famous RCH front spindle/geometry package was developed with help from Steve's brother (step) Joe Shear Jr., which is now a very successful NASCAR truck crew chief. A time came when RCH needed to pick a chassis that they wanted to work closer with, so Hamke Race Cars was chosen. They are a very light, strong, and versatile chassis that has a large window for perfection on the set-up. Since 2006 to date, there have been 42 Hamke Chassis sold thru RCH. The very first one that was sold (2006) is still winning races today, they last!
RCH has a jig so that customers that need major repair on their chassis don't have to travel all the way to North Carolina. Many stubs have been replaced on Hamke cars up here and some have been taken to the original jig and bolt right up on them. In fact on a particular car a stub was knocked off at the Iowa Speedway and RCH replaced it for the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway ASALM Race. That car had fast time by over .3 of a second and won the race! More recently Tim Sargent needed a stub after the Octoberfest weekend at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. Over the winter he had the car clipped and at the Rockford Speedway Opener he set fast time, and ironically the only other RCH Hamke car there qualified 2nd.
